TO HAVE AND TO HOLD

Today my Dad is getting married to his love of twenty years. This recognition of their love is bittersweet. The sentiments we all will be feeling will be happiness and grief at the same time. My Dad is dying. I feel paralyzed from this, and with this bittersweet celebration of their love, we also have Covid-19 to prevent closeness, hugs, and comfort.

Today we all will take each second as it comes because that is all we have- the rest is bullshit.
